Decadent Chocolate Waffles
This waffle batter is made with hot cocoa powder and studded with rich dark chocolate for a decadent twist on brunch.
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 tbsp of GODIVA Dark Chocolate Hot Chocolate Mix
1 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp baking powder
2/3 cup milk
3 tbsp melted butter
1 bar GODIVA 72% Dark Chocolate, chopped
1/2 cup whipping cream
1 tbsp icing sugar
2 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 cup fresh raspberries (optional)
1. In bowl, whisk together flour, hot cocoa powder, sugar, cornstarch, baking powder and salt. In separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg and butter; stir into flour mixture just until combined. Fold in chopped chocolate bar.
2. In greased waffle iron, cook waffles for 4 or 5 minutes each or until crisp and golden.
3. Meanwhile, whip cream with icing sugar to stiff peaks. Dollop whipped cream over each waffle and drizzle with maple syrup. Top with raspberries (if using).
