When will my order ship?
We offer two approaches for choosing your delivery. “By Shipping Method” & “By Scheduled Delivery”. Choose the first method if you want your order to ship as soon as possible. Choose the second method if you want to schedule a future delivery date or date range.
The “By Shipping Method” option includes four choices:
- Standard Shipping will arrive within 5-7 business days
- 2nd Day - If you place your order before 1 PM EST on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, your order will ship the same day that it is received to arrive within 2 business days. If you place your order after 1 PM EST, your order will ship the next possible business day. Orders placed after 1pm EST on Wednesday may ship out the following Monday for arrival on the following Wednesday.
- Next Day - If you place your order before 1 PM EST on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, your order will be shipped the same day for arrival the next day. If you place your order after 1 PM EST, your order will ship the next possible business day. Orders placed after 1pm EST on Thursday will ship out the following Monday for arrival on Tuesday. NOTE: Due to the perishability of our product, we do not ship over the weekends for arrival on Mondays.
- Saturday Delivery – we are pleased to offer guaranteed Saturday delivery. Orders must be received by 1 PM EST on Friday in order to arrive the following Saturday.
The “By Scheduled Delivery” includes two primary choices: “Week Ending” and “On Exact Date”. With “Week Ending” you may select a future arrival date up to 1-year in the future. With this option you may select a date range only, and your order will arrive any day of the weekly range selected, Monday-Friday. This option uses the Standard Delivery method only.
With the “On Exact Date", we guarantee arrival on the exact date selected. Shipments with this method will be delivered using Next Day service for weekdays, and Saturday Next Day Service for Saturday deliveries. Our daily order cut-off is 1 PM EST. Please note, due to the perishability of our products we do not accept delivery for Mondays.
Can I place an order to be shipped outside of the United States? Due to the perishability of our product, we do not ship outside the United States. To shop at one of our International locations, please find the "Change Region" drop down at the bottom right of this web page.
Can you ship chocolate during warm weather or to warmer parts of the country like Florida and California? Yes, we absolutely can ship Godiva during warm weather and to warm climates in the U.S. all year long. Our shipping system monitors the temperatures where your package is being delivered and selects the appropriate packing material such as cooler boxes and frozen gel packs to ensure that your gift arrives in perfect condition and at no additional cost to you.
Can I order a box of all of one piece or select the pieces I want in the box? While we do not offer this service online, our Godiva Boutiques are able to assist you in creating and customizing your own assortments. Locate your nearest GODIVA Boutique
Can I ship to a P.O. Box or an APO/FPO Address? Yes, we accept orders to P.O. Box and to APO/FPO addresses. Orders shipped to a P.O. Box are shipped via USPS via Priority Mail. We regret that we cannot offer our express shipping options for these types of addresses.
Do you offer same-day shipping? At this time, we do not offer same-day shipping.
Can you hold my order for a future date? Yes, we can hold your order for a future delivery date. During Checkout, after you select the method of shipping, you may choose the "Future Week Ending" option, and specify a future arrival date. Please note the following:
What shipping carriers do you use? We use USPS for all P.O. Box and APO/FPO orders. We use select Ground and Air Carriers to deliver all other packages. It is up to the discretion of GODIVA which carrier will be selected.
Can I use my own Federal Express Number to ship my order? We are not currently able to charge shipments to other Federal Express or UPS account numbers.
Can I ship to more than one person on one order? Yes, you can ship to as many people as you like in one order. Here is a brief description of the steps you will take to ship to multiple people on one order:
Why did I get charged Tax? Godiva has company-owned boutiques in almost all states; therefore, we are subject to charge tax on internet/mail order purchases in any state where we have a store location. Some states regulate that we must charge tax on the shipping charges as well. All of these charges are controlled by the State that we are shipping your purchase to, not the state of the purchaser.
Will I receive an order confirmation? An order receipt will be sent immediately to your email address after placing your order. You will receive an order confirmation email with your order number, order total, and optional gift message within two hours of placing your order. Please review this information as soon as possible to ensure all addresses, items and arrival dates are correct. Will I receive a shipping confirmation? When your order has shipped, you will receive a shipment confirmation including the tracking number for each shipment. Please note that this confirmation is typically emailed at 11pm EST on the day it is shipped. You may also Track Your Order at our Customer Assistance page. If your order has more than 10 recipients, you will only receive one shipment confirmation email. You may contact Customer Care at 1-800-946-3482 to request tracking information for all your recipients.
Can I create an account after I start placing my order? Yes. After your order is completed, you will be asked if you would like to create an account, which will allow you to track your orders and will also make ordering easier for you in the future.
How long will Godiva chocolates keep their fresh taste?
Godiva Chocolates will stay fresh tasting at room temperature for up to 2-3 weeks, as long as they are kept away from heat and humidity. Specifically, the temperature should not exceed 70 degrees Fahrenheit and the relative humidity should remain below 60%. Avoid direct sunlight.
How should I store the chocolate if I want to keep it fresh tasting for more than two weeks?
To store chocolate for up to two months, place package in two plastic bags, close tightly and refrigerate. To store chocolate for up to six months, place package in two plastic bags, close tightly and freeze.
How do I bring the chocolate to room temperature once it is removed from storage?
Keep chocolates in plastic bags until the entire package comes to room temperature. This will take approximately two hours if it was stored in the refrigerator, six hours if it was stored in the freezer.
Does your chocolate contain dairy products? ALL of our dark, milk, and white chocolate may contain dairy or milk products. Any person with a dairy allergy should NOT consume ANY of our products.
Does your chocolate contain nuts? ALL of our products including solid chocolate pieces may contain nuts and/or peanuts. Any person with a nut allergy should NOT consume ANY of our products .
Does your chocolate contain gluten? ALL of our products including solid chocolate pieces may contain gluten. Any person with a gluten allergy should NOT consume ANY of our products.
How far in advance should I place my favor order? We recommend that you place your order about 8 to 10 weeks before the event and select a delivery date of one week prior to the event. Store the favors in a cool, dark place - 70 degrees or cooler. Do not store them in the climate-controlled packaging that they are shipped in as the chocolates are fragile and may absorb an odor from the packing material.
Do you offer volume discounts? Yes - the more you shop, the more you save. Place an order of $600 or more and get a discount of 5% to 20%. Discounts are calculated on merchandise total, before shipping and/or tax, and excluding charges for custom-printed ribbons. Learn more about Volume Discounts.
What customization or personalization options are available? We do not offer ribbon customization online at this time, however our Customer Service associates can place a custom ribbon order for you. What is Godiva's Policy on Donation requests? Although we would like to honor all requests, GODIVA Chocolatier receives hundreds of solicitations for donations and promotions annually and unfortunately, we cannot accommodate everyone. As a result, we prioritize and make donations to select organization that we often partner with, as well as make donations to organizations that are supported directly by a GODIVA employee.
Do you send Samples? Although we cannot ship samples to you, our company-owned Godiva Boutiques frequently offer samples of our products.
Why didn't my promotional code or promotional offer work? From time to time, Godiva.com will offer special promotions and discounts. Many offers require a minimum spend in order to qualify for the promotional offer. This amount does not include tax or shipping and cannot be split between multiple shipments. Offers are valid in the US only on orders placed on Godiva.com, and are not valid in Godiva Boutiques, department/specialty stores, or through 1-800-9GODIVA. Promotional offers are not valid on previous purchases or orders over $599, and cannot be combined with volume discounts or other promotions or offers. Godiva promotions are not redeemable for cash.

Where can I purchase Godiva Cheesecake? Please contact the Cheesecake Factory support team by calling 1-800-330-2253. Using our chocolate and our specifications, Cheesecake Factory prepares the cheesecakes and distributes them for Godiva.
Where can I buy Godiva Liqueur? Please contact Godiva Liqueur Customer Service Support at Diageo Corporation by calling 1-800-767-3123, prompt 2 for the Godiva product line.
How do I prepare Godiva Hot Cocoa? Stovetop instructions:
Pour 1 cup (8 oz.) of milk into a sauce pan. Heat over low heat until milk is hot (do not boil). Pour hot milk into a cup or mug. Stir in the entire contents of one Godiva Hot Cocoa packet, or three tablespoons from a canister (use more or less to taste). Microwave instructions: Pour 1 cup (8 oz.) of milk into a microwave safe mug or cup. Microwave on high for 1-1/2 to 2 minutes or until hot. Stir in the entire contents of one Godiva Hot Cocoa packet, or three tablespoons from a canister (use more or less to taste).
What sweetener does Godiva use in the Sugar Free Chocolate? The sweetener used in our sugar free line is Maltitol, the only sugar replacement that consistently produces high-quality chocolate that meets Godiva's taste standards while minimizing the negative aftertaste commonly found in other sugar replacements.
Where can I purchase Godiva Liqueur Truffles? Godiva Liqueur Truffles are available in limited areas due to regional laws regulating the sale of products containing alcohol but can be purchased in our company-owned Boutiques in the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Texas and Virginia. You may locate your nearest Godiva Boutique using our online store locator. Godiva Liqueur Truffles are not available for purchase online.
If you need your gift to arrive ON a specific date, you need to select Next Day for your shipping method - this is the only way we can guarantee that your package will arrive on a specific day. If the date you've specified is a Saturday, you must select Next Day
We cannot ship packages to arrive on a Sunday or Monday delivery date.
Put ALL items you will be shipping to all your recipients in your shopping cart before checking out.
During Checkout, you will be asked to select if you are sending all items to one address or multiple addresses - you will select multiple addresses.
You will then enter or select from your address book each recipient separately.
You will select the shipping information for each recipient separately.
You will enter the gift message separately for each person - You will have the choice of using the same gift message for all your recipients with one click.
You will complete all information for each person before entering information for the next person.
